A welcome retreat for you after a hard day hiking in the hills or alternatively a relaxing romantic break with panoramic views of the loch and hills. Situated 3 miles off the A835 along a single track road in the small community of Ardindrean on the Lochside approximately 11 miles from Ullapool. It has its own private garden and access to the hills and shore.
Duncan's Barn is a unique stone and wood building lovingly converted into the superb characterful accommodation it is today. Originally it was used for sheep and cows in the main part of the barn where the lounge and bedroom are now, hay storage where the bathroom is and a tractor shed where the kitchen is. Duncan's barn is situated on Cherrybank Croft in Ardindrean, and is a short walk away from the main house, it has its own part cobbled and part grassed garden with picnic table enclosed within a dry stone wall.
We are close enough if you need information or help with anything but far enough away if you prefer quiet and privacy.

Enter into a small lobby and up 2 steps to spacious comfortable lounge area with views of the loch and surrounding hills, a step up at the rear of this room is the bedroom area with a comfortable king size bed from which you can look out of the large lounge window and take in the view of the sea, the hills and the sky with its ever changing light. Above the bed two skylights allow you to see the stars twinkling at night.
A separate kitchen with fabulous views of Beinn Dearg has table and chairs, fridge (with small freezer compartment), hob, double oven, toaster, kettle, microwave, sink/drainer, crockery, cutlery, pans etc.
A shower room with spacious walk in electric shower, wc, sink, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.

Check-in is from 4pm. We ask that guests do not arrive early so that we have time to prepare the property.
Check out is by 10.00am. In order to ensure that we have time to prepare the house properly for the next guests, we ask that guests leave the property by 10am.
Please note that for 2022 we are going to be doing weekly bookings Friday - Friday.
